I’m on the southwest coast of Cumbria, and we have lots of old tracks dating back to the Stone Age, dotted with stone circles, standing stones, and barely noticeable track marker stones. I regularly take walks on these same footpaths and admire the sights, we now also have water voles and visiting otters in the waterways around the village! I'm dismayed to learn that Thames Water occasionally releases sewage into the waterway nearest the sewage works when there has been heavy rains that have overwhelmed the system.Lunoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1301411800599708536.post-62700103780711532102022-06-23T15:42:44.018+01:002022-06-23T15:42:44.018+01:00Well done Rob. When the baby was delivered, Wild Darryl threw the baby on the fire. The midwife had secured a piece of the bedcurtains in the bedroom where the mother gave birth. This helped to convict Wild Darryl.trucklehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07231364290940249719noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1301411800599708536.post-42265494240605157012015-05-08T10:46:23.807+01:002015-05-08T10:46:23.807+01:00Nice blog. She was also a friend of many here in Central Kentucky, where she lived and worked - and played, and danced, and sang - for several years. Some of us have just learned of her loss, and although years separated us, we always knew we had such a good friend across The Pond, and several of us connected with her whenever we were in England. She left a message for me when I was last there, staying in a small village near Bath: "Meet me at the high altar in Bath Abbey at twelve noon tomorrow". I ate once or twice at a restaurant called Ben Johnson's in San Francisco, years ago, that served only food available in Tudor times. No potatoes!
